Carson City Fire: Major Brush Fire Reported at Gentry Lane Near Prison Hill

Firefighters first arriving on scene reported a half-acre wind driven fire moving upslope, with structures threatened. The fire has since grown and is moving up the hill, with lines being dug. Aircraft is responding. All motorists and pedestrians should stay out of the area to allow for fire engines to get through. At this time, we have not heard of any evacuations.
