BREAKING: Thugs attack ADC candidate Salaam at Ejigbo polling unit

Political thugs have attacked ADC governorship candidate, Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam, at his polling unit during Saturday’s Osun governorship election.

The incident occurred at Ward 4, Polling Unit 13, in Ejigbo Local Government Area.

The incident has sparked allegations that the attackers attempted to assassinate the ADC candidate. However, P.M. NEWS has not independently established their identities or motive.

The attackers also disrupted voting, chased voters away, and interfered with electoral materials at the polling unit.

Footage obtained by PMNEWS showed a vehicle with its windows smashed and glass scattered around the scene.

A man described as one of the attackers was seen kneeling as security operatives swiftly moved in to contain the situation. He was subsequently arrested.

It was not immediately clear whether anyone sustained injuries during the attack.

The police and INEC had yet to issue official statements on the incident at the time of filing this report.
