In a recent interview on Symfoni TV, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, Afam Ogene, member of the House of Representatives representing Ogbaru Federal Constituency of Anambra State, spoke about campaign promises, governance expectations, and public accountability in Nigeria’s democratic process.

Ogene said that political leadership must be judged based on measurable commitments made to citizens during electioneering campaigns, particularly in critical sectors such as power supply, security, and the economy. He argued that Nigerians are increasingly paying closer attention to promises made by political leaders and holding them to account after elections.
