Apple’s Foldable iPhone Duo Could Cost Nearly €2,350 in the Netherlands

Apple has unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone.

The device folds like a book and has a 5.4-inch exterior screen. Opening it reveals a larger 7.6-inch display designed for watching videos, multitasking and using two applications at the same time.

The basic model, which comes with 256GB of storage, will cost $1,999 in the United States before taxes.

The official Dutch price has not been published. However, local estimates suggest the entry-level model could cost nearly €2,350 after taxes and regional pricing are considered.

Buyers who choose the maximum 2TB storage option could reportedly pay close to €4,000, making it Apple’s most expensive iPhone so far.

The iPhone Duo runs on Apple’s A20 Pro chip and uses a redesigned version of iOS 27 for its two displays.

It features two 48-megapixel rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor built into the side button. Apple has replaced Face ID with Touch ID on this model.

The phone also has a titanium and ceramic-fibre body, water and dust resistance and support for the Apple Pencil.

Apple says the folding display was designed to make the crease in the centre less noticeable when the phone is fully opened.

The company is entering a market already occupied by Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi, which have sold foldable smartphones for several years.

The iPhone Duo will be available in Star White and Night Sky. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026, before the official release on October 23.
