ADC Wins First Polling Unit In Ekiti Gov Election

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has won its first polling unit in the ongoing governorship election in Ekiti State.

ADC secured victory at Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Okeruku Ward 02, Ikere Local Government Area of the state.

According to the result sheet sighted by Daily Post, ADC polled 39 votes, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC), which scored 29 votes.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came third with 17 votes.

The ADC governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, had earlier alleged violence against his supporters during the election.

Naija News had earlier reported that results from polling units across the state have started coming in.

Meanwhile, Bejide lost his polling unit to Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the APC.

Bejide, who hails from Ward 2 in Ekiti South-West Local Government Area, scored 37 votes at Polling Unit 004.

Oyebanji won the unit with 140 votes, while the PDP recorded two votes.
