Abducted Oyo State Pupils, Teachers and Vice Principal Regain Freedom After Months in Captivity
The pupils, teachers and vice principal who were abducted from schools in Oyo State have regained their freedom after spending months in captivity.
According to reports, the victims were released on Friday evening following coordinated operations involving security agencies, including the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA), the State Security Service (SSS), the Nigerian Army, and other security forces.
The victims were kidnapped when armed terrorists simultaneously attacked Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota, Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele, and L.A. Primary School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
A total of 46 people, comprising 39 pupils and seven members of staff, including teachers and the vice principal, were abducted during the coordinated attacks.
