In the lead-up to the 2027 general elections, the vice president of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, reportedly urged closer cooperation between the country’s northern and southern regions on July 15, 2026, as reported by the Daily Post.
