Comrade Chris Agu, who contested the Enugu State governorship under the Peoples Redemption Party in 2023, has cast doubt on the likelihood of two major national political figures regaining top executive positions in future elections.
His comments were rooted in what he described as a shifting political climate in Nigeria, where voters are increasingly turning away from entrenched political actors as general elections approach.
In a video posted on the Official YouTube channel of Afia News on Thursday, June 18, 2026, he discussed emerging political realignments and suggested that the country may be heading toward a significant leadership change.
He remarked, “I know Bola Tinubu will not govern Nigeria again after this tenure, and I know Atiku Abubakar will not rule Nigeria.”
