19-year-old allegedly beaten to death over missing ₦17,000 in Enugu

A 19-year-old boy, Chiadikaobi Asadu, has allegedly been beaten to death after being accused of stealing ₦17,000 from his father in Amoka Village, Nru Nsukka, Enugu State.

According to reports, the teenager denied taking the money but was allegedly assaulted by his father and some male relatives, who reportedly tied him to a tree and flogged him for hours.

After the beating, he was said to have been asked to take a bath. However, family members later found him unconscious in the bathroom. He was subsequently confirmed dead.

Residents also alleged that attempts were made to conceal the circumstances surrounding his death, with claims that he was buried the same day.
