“You’re Not Doing Well If I Haven’t Interviewed You”- Moet Abebe Brags About Influence

Popular Nigerian broadcaster and media personality Moet Abebe, widely referred to as the “Radio Goddess,” has generated online discussions after making bold remarks about her career impact and status in the Nigerian entertainment space.

During a recent appearance on the Chacha’s Couch podcast, she revisited her journey in the media industry, stating that as an interviewer she has engaged almost every top Nigerian music star who shaped the industry between 2010 and 2020.

She further suggested that most artistes who enjoyed major success within that period would have, at one point or another, been featured in an interview with her, highlighting the reach and influence of her work in that era.

“There is no artiste in Nigeria that I have not interviewed, apart from maybe in recent times. But those people from 2010 to 2020, there is no single artiste. If you have not been interviewed by Moet Abebe and you were reigning between 2010 and 2020, my dear, you were not doing well enough. That is what I am going to say because I have interviewed everybody, at least everybody that matters,” she said.

Her comments immediately triggered mixed reactions across social media, with some users agreeing with her assertion about her influence and contribution to the industry, while others described her statement as controversial and overstated.
