You Can’t Satisfy A Woman – Rev. Funke Felix-Adejumo Urges Married Men Not to Endanger Their Health Trying to Please Their Wives

Nigerian preacher and marriage counsellor, Reverend Funke Felix-Adejumo, has advised married men not to sacrifice their health or lives in an attempt to satisfy their wives, stressing that no man can completely meet every expectation of a woman.

Naijapunchnews reports that the clergywoman gave the advice while addressing members of her congregation during a sermon on marriage, relationships and financial responsibility.

Speaking directly to married men, Felix-Adejumo urged them to strive to be responsible husbands without placing unbearable pressure on themselves.

“Listen to me very, very carefully. Do everything, but don’t kill yourself. Married men, hear me. I’m a woman speaking to you now. There is nobody that can please a woman,” she said.

Explaining her position, the preacher argued that women naturally desire change and improvement, using beauty and fashion practices as examples.

“The Almighty God gave us nails; we will cut the nails and attach another one. God gave us eyebrows, we will shave them off and put another one. God gave us hair, we will remove it. If the Almighty God cannot completely please us, who are you that you want to please us?” she said.

She encouraged men to simply do their best in marriage rather than exhaust themselves trying to meet every expectation.

“Don’t die! Do your best,” she advised.

Addressing women during the same message, Felix-Adejumo emphasized the importance of financial independence, urging wives to build their own sources of income instead of relying solely on their husbands for financial support.

She told women that having personal income would not only improve their self-reliance but also enable them to contribute meaningfully to their homes and occasionally surprise their spouses with thoughtful gifts.

“Don’t let the money you have be only sexually transmitted money. Have your own money so that whatever your husband gives you becomes an addition. Esther chapter 2—they gave her her own. Where is your own now? Who says you too cannot surprise your husband with a Prado?” she said.

Drawing from her personal experience, the preacher disclosed that she celebrated her husband’s 60th birthday by presenting him with 61 gifts, saying the gesture reflected the value of financial empowerment within marriage.

“When my husband turned 60, I gave him 61 gifts,” she added.

Concluding her message, Felix-Adejumo encouraged women to pursue careers, businesses or other legitimate means of earning an income, stressing that modern marriages should be built on partnership rather than complete financial dependence on one spouse.

“Your life should not be dependent on ‘until daddy comes.’ We have left that level,” she said.
