Woman Left Shocked After Spotting Rat Inside Cinema During Movie Screening (Video)

A woman has shared her surprising experience after spotting a rat inside a cinema at a shopping mall in Festac, Lagos.

The Instagram user said she had gone to the mall to watch The Odyssey when she noticed a rat jumping across the seats in the same row where she was sitting.

She quickly recorded the incident and later shared the video on social media.

The footage shows the rat climbing onto the seats before crawling into a bag containing the woman’s shawarma. Her popcorn and handbag were also placed just inches away from where the animal was seen.

Despite the unexpected encounter, the woman appeared to find humour in the situation.

Sharing the clip online, she captioned it: “This will never not be funny to me.”

The video has since gone viral, with many social media users reacting with a mix of amusement, shock, and concern over hygiene standards in public cinemas.

She added in the comment section: “It’s my shawarma that pained me the most.”
