Wike Was Several Steps Ahead 2027 Election Will Be Rigged If We Rely On INEC Alone -Sam Amadi

Dr. Sam Amadi has warned that the 2027 general elections could face severe credibility issues if Nigerians rely exclusively on the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Speaking at a recent civil society strategy meeting, the political analyst emphasized the urgent need to build a stronger election protection framework that does not depend solely on the electoral umpire.

Amadi argued that leaving the entire electoral process to the commission without active citizen monitoring and independent observation will likely result in massive manipulation.

He noted that relying entirely on the good faith of election management bodies is a dangerous political strategy that has consistently failed the opposition in previous cycles.

The human rights advocate stressed that the primary focus must immediately shift toward building a robust citizen-led system that makes it extremely difficult for any political actor to rig the polls.

During the same strategic dialogue, discussions also highlighted the sophisticated political calculations of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

A contributor at the event pointed out that Wike was several steps ahead of the unprepared opposition during the recent electoral exercises in the capital city.
