WICKEDNESS: “2 Cedi” Arrested For Allegedly Beheading His Grandmother

An 18-year-old boy identified as Yaw Brakoh, popularly known as “2 Cedi,” has been arrested in connection with the alleged killing of his grandmother at Wassa Adansi in the Amenfi East Municipality of Ghana’s Western Region.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on the morning of Wednesday, May 17, 2026, at the victim’s residence, leaving residents of the community shocked and devastated.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly attacked and beheaded his grandmother under circumstances that police are still investigating.

Following the incident, some community members reportedly mobilised and apprehended the suspect before handing him over to the Wassa Akropong Police Patrol Team.

Reports further indicate that the suspect was nearly lynched by an angry mob before police officers intervened and rescued him from further harm.

He was later taken to hospital under police guard after allegedly sustaining injuries during the confrontation.

Although some residents suspect the teenager may have been abusing drugs, police have not confirmed the claims, stating that investigations are still ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
