Who owns Burj Khalifa? Know who collects rent for world’s tallest building, not UAE govt or any Emirati Royal, it is…

The world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, is famous not only for its record-breaking height but also for its luxury, grandeur, and world-class facilities. Located in Dubai, the iconic skyscraper remains a major attraction for tourists from across the globe. However, many people often wonder who actually owns this massive landmark and who earns the revenue generated from it.

Who Built Burj Khalifa?

Burj Khalifa was developed by Emaar Properties and officially opened in 2010. The tower was initially named “Burj Dubai,” but was later renamed in honour of former UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Standing around 828 metres tall, the skyscraper was built at a cost of billions of dollars and includes hotels, luxury apartments, offices, and observation decks.

Is There Just One Owner?

Many people believe the tower belongs to a single billionaire, but that is not true. While Emaar Properties is the main owner and operator, many apartments, offices, and commercial spaces inside the building have been sold to different investors and companies. This means different sections of the tower have different owners.

Who Earns The Rent?

The rental income from apartments and offices goes to the individuals or companies that own those properties. If someone has purchased a flat or office in the tower, they receive the rent from it. Meanwhile, rental income from properties still owned by Emaar Properties goes directly to the company.

Major Source Of Revenue

The building also generates huge income from hotels, restaurants, tourism activities, and ticket sales. Its observation decks attract millions of visitors every year who come to enjoy panoramic views of Dubai from the top of the world’s tallest tower.

Symbol Of Dubai

Today, Burj Khalifa is much more than just a skyscraper. It has become a global symbol of Dubai, representing modern engineering, luxury living, and international business. Tourists from around the world visit the landmark to experience its height and iconic design.
