When I Was 18, I Couldn’t Open a Bank Account, So My Mum Managed My Money – Achraf Hakimi Finally Speaks on Claims He Gave His Mother All His Assets

Moroccan football star Achraf Hakimi has responded to long-standing reports claiming that all of his money and assets are registered in his mother’s name.

Speaking during an interview, the Paris Saint-Germain defender explained that the arrangement dates back to when he was 18 years old and was unable to open a bank account on his own.

According to Hakimi, his mother managed his finances from the beginning of his professional career, and he decided to keep the arrangement even after achieving success in football.

During the interview, he was asked:

“Is it true all your money and assets are in your mum’s name?”

Responding, Hakimi said:

“When I was 18, I couldn’t open a bank account, so my mum collected my money. When I became successful, I just left it that way.”
