“When a woman stands her ground, she is mean, aggressive, difficult, bossy” — Real Warri Pikin speaks amid show crisis
Nigerian comedian Real Warri Pikin has made a bold statement about how women are perceived when they stand their ground, amid the ongoing controversy surrounding her show.
She noted that while a man who stands firm is often described as resilient, strong and a leader, a woman doing the same is more likely to be called mean, aggressive, difficult or bossy.
“Same action. Different language. Different reception,” she wrote.

According to her, women are often expected to be soft, agreeable and accommodating, so setting boundaries or saying no can quickly be labelled as having an attitude.
Her comments come amid the ongoing situation surrounding her show, with the comedian appearing to address the criticism and reactions she has received.
