“We Have Done Everything Possible for Peace, But Adwoa Safo Wants GH¢3.7 Million Before Releasing Our Father’s Body” — Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena

Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena says he has tried several times to settle the family dispute over the burial of the late Apostle Prof. Emeritus Ing. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.

Speaking at a press conference, Safo Akofena said he personally contacted his sister, Sarah Adwoa Safo, to find a way to resolve the matter, but his efforts have not been successful.

As the head of the Kantanka family, he said the family wants the issue to be resolved peacefully. However, he alleged that Adwoa Safo is demanding GH¢3.7 million before the body of their late father can be released for burial.

Safo Akofena also made it clear that there will be no funeral on July 30 because the family does not recognize that date.

He further said some family members had earlier called for the late Apostle’s will to be read. However, he alleged that those same family members are now refusing to respect their father’s final wishes about how his funeral should be conducted.

These are claims made by Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena at the press conference. Sarah Adwoa Safo has not publicly responded to the latest allegations.
