VeryDarkMan reacts to criticism over comments on terrorism amid Oyo school abductions

Social media activist VeryDarkMan, has stirred reactions online after addressing criticism over his comments on the government’s handling of terrorism and insecurity.

Taking to Instagram, he revealed that many people had been attacking him after he suggested that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should consider accepting the demands of terrorists in certain situations.

According to him, the growing insecurity across the country has left many Nigerians vulnerable, and urgent solutions are needed to protect innocent lives.

“Some people are abusing me because I said Tinubu should accept the terrorists’ demands. What does it matter if they release the terrorists in captivity?” he said.

VDM argued that terrorists are already operating in different parts of the country and questioned the effectiveness of the government’s security strategy.

He further alleged that the security challenges facing the country could have been prevented if more attention had been given to strengthening national security.

“The terrorists are everywhere anyway, and they’re not even supposed to be in Nigeria in the first place if Tinubu had invested in our security,” he added.

The activist also criticised the government’s spending priorities, alleging that huge sums have been allocated to projects while insecurity continues to worsen.

The backlash comes after VeryDarkMan reacted to fresh footage of the abducted school principal appealing to the government to meet the kidnappers’ demands by releasing detained members of their group.

VDM argued that the request should be considered for the safety of the schoolchildren, who have reportedly remained in captivity for over two weeks.
