VerveLife 9.0 partners Truecaller as fitness event expands across Nigeria

Verve, a payment card and tokens brand operated by Interswitch, has announced a partnership with Truecaller for the ninth edition of VerveLife, themed “Ignite”.

The partnership comes as the annual fitness event expands its activities across several Nigerian cities, combining fitness, wellness, entertainment, technology and community engagement.

According to the organisers, the 2026 edition has already held events in Ikorodu, Ibadan and Enugu, with further activities scheduled for Surulere and Uyo before the finale in Lagos.

Cherry Eromosele, Executive Vice President, Group Marketing and Communications, Interswitch Group, said the partnership would add a technology dimension to this year’s event.

She said VerveLife had evolved beyond a conventional fitness event to incorporate broader lifestyle and community experiences.

“VerveLife has always been about creating experiences that connect with people beyond the traditional boundaries of a fitness event,” Eromosele said.

She added that the partnership with Truecaller would support the event’s focus on bringing together technology, lifestyle, wellness and community.

Ogochukwu Onwuzurike, Country Manager, Nigeria, Truecaller, said the partnership would enable the company to engage with a community interested in active living and shared experiences.

“Truecaller is pleased to partner with VerveLife 9.0 and connect with a community that values active living, shared experiences and meaningful connections,” Onwuzurike said.

The 2026 VerveLife programme will culminate in Lagos with a two-day event scheduled for November 20 and 21.

The first day will feature a “Train the Trainer” session and an industry-focused mixer.

The second day will feature fitness activities, an obstacle course, masterclasses and a children’s corner, alongside appearances by fitness personalities and trainers. The programme will conclude with an evening after-party.

The ninth edition also includes the “Road to VerveLife 9 Stage” pan-African competition, which is open to fitness trainers, dance instructors, aerobics coaches, yoga and Pilates instructors, as well as other fitness enthusiasts.

The competition is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to secure a place on the VerveLife stage.

The partnership with Truecaller comes as the 2026 edition builds towards its Lagos finale, following activities held in different parts of the country.
