Ugbokodo Community, Delta State – Tension and serious anger gripped Ugbokodo Community yesterday, Monday, June 8, 2026, after an Aboki okada rider allegedly tried to rape an elderly woman (over 70 years old) in a terrible bush attack that has left many residents very angry and scared.

But the strong old woman did not give up. She fought back fiercely, struggled with the man, shouted loudly for help, and managed to escape into the bush. The suspect then ran away quickly and is still on the run as at the time of this report.

The news spread fast. Residents of Ugbokodo got so angry that they banned all okada riders from entering the community this morning. This did not sit well with the Aboki okada riders, so they blocked roads in protest. But soldiers later came and chased them away to restore order.
