Ukraine and nine other countries announce anti-ballistic missile programme

Ukraine and nine other countries have announced a coalition to protect Europe from ballistic missiles, taking advantage of Kyiv’s experience of fighting Russia.

The 10 countries announced the agreement in Paris at talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The countries said in a statement that “our goal is to build a shared ballistic missile defence capability for Europe”.
