UBA opens subscription channel for Dangote Refinery IPO, invites investors to participate

United Bank for Africa Plc, UBA,  has been named an authorised financial institution through which eligible investors can subscribe for shares in the Initial Public Offering of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE.

The appointment gives UBA customers and other eligible investors access to the public offer, which provides an opportunity to acquire shares in one of Nigeria’s major industrial enterprises.

The Dangote Refinery IPO comprises 4.1 billion ordinary shares priced at ₦525 each, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, valued at ₦5,250. Investors may apply for additional shares in accordance with the terms and conditions contained in the offer documents.

The offer opened on Monday, September 14, 2026, and is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026, subject to the terms of the offer.

Commenting on the development, UBA Group Executive Director Designate, Tosin Adewuyi, said the bank was pleased to be among the approved financial institutions providing access to the public offer.

“We are pleased to be named as one of the approved financial institutions providing access to the Dangote Refinery public offer. At UBA, we remain committed to deepening financial inclusion and expanding opportunities for individuals and businesses to participate meaningfully in Nigeria’s capital market,” Adewuyi said.

He said the public offer would provide eligible investors with an opportunity to participate in the ownership of a major Nigerian industrial enterprise, while urging prospective subscribers to carefully study the offer documents before making investment decisions.

“This public offer provides eligible investors with an opportunity to participate in the ownership of a major Nigerian industrial enterprise. We encourage interested investors to obtain and carefully review the offer documents, understand the terms and risks involved, and make informed investment decisions,” he said.

According to UBA, eligible investors can subscribe for the Dangote Refinery shares through the bank’s designated subscription channels.

The bank advised prospective subscribers to ensure that their personal and banking information, including their Bank Verification Number (BVN) details, is accurate and up to date before submitting applications.

UBA customers can access the offer through the bank’s designated self-service channel, subject to the applicable subscription process and the terms of the offer.

Investors have also been advised to read the Prospectus and other relevant offer documents carefully and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary before committing funds.

UBA cautioned that investment in shares carries risks and that the value of an investment may rise or fall.

The bank further urged investors to subscribe only through approved channels and remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes linked to the IPO.

UBA said it is inviting individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, institutional investors and other eligible investors interested in participating in the offer to use its approved subscription channels.
