Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua set for record-shattering $200m payday in landmark British fight

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are set to make the biggest money of their careers and secure the largest payday of any British boxer in history following the confirmation of their heavyweight showdown on 11 December at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.

The all-British clash carries an estimated total purse of roughly $200 million (£150 million), with both former world champions receiving an even 50-50 split. The deal ensures both fighters will earn up to £75 million ($99 million) each for a single night’s work, surpassing all previous financial records for UK fighters.

Speaking in an interview on talkSPORT regarding the historic financial split and the nature of the fight, promoter Frank Warren said: “The money side of it is very simple – it’s a straight 50/50 split. This will be the biggest fight in British boxing history and the biggest purse any British fighter has ever seen.”

The payday eclipses Tyson Fury’s previous career, high earning from his unification clash against Oleksandr Usyk, as well as Anthony Joshua’s previous top purse.

Brokered in collaboration with Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority chief Turki Alalshikh, UFC CEO Dana White, and streaming platform Netflix, the event is projected to generate massive global revenue through worldwide distribution, site fees, and commercial sponsorships.

With the fighters set to face off in London on 30 September for their initial promotional launch, the December 11 event in Cardiff stands to cement both Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua as the highest-earning sports figures in modern British history.
