Transcorp Hilton Abuja denies cancelling venue booking for ADC rally

Transcorp Hilton Abuja has denied claims circulating on social media that it cancelled a venue booking for a rally by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement issued on Thursday and signed by Mohamed Said Khalil, acting general manager, Transcorp Hilton, the hotel clarified that no such booking was ever made.

According to the statement, the hotel only received an inquiry from the party on Easter Monday, but could not accommodate the request due to lack of availability.

“Our attention has been drawn to false and misleading information circulating on social media alleging that Transcorp Hilton Abuja cancelled a booking for a political rally,” the statement read.

“We wish to categorically state that this claim is entirely false and does not reflect the facts. An inquiry was made on Easter Monday, but there was no availability to accommodate the request. Consequently, no booking was made at any point.”

The management reiterated that there was no cancellation, describing the circulating narrative as inaccurate, malicious, and entirely fabricated.

It urged the public to disregard the claims, emphasizing that no political event, including any ADC rally, was ever booked at the facility.
