Tragedy in Kaduna as Suspected Gunmen K+ll Mother, Daughter and Two Others

A mother and her daughter have reportedly lost their lives after suspected gunmen attacked Katul Crossing Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to reports, the assailants stormed the community at about 8 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, and opened fire on residents. The daughter was said to have died at the scene after sustaining gunshot wounds, while her mother, who was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, later succumbed to her injuries.

Two other residents were also reportedly killed during the attack, bringing the death toll to four. The victims are expected to be buried after their families conclude burial arrangements.

As of the time of filing this report, security authorities have not issued an official statement on the incident, while the motive behind the attack remains unclear.
