Tragedy hits Nollywood again as actress Nimmy Ferrari dies suddenly

Nollywood actress and social media influencer, Nimmy Ferrari, has died, just days before she was expected to celebrate the completion of her new house in Sagamu, Ogun State.

The news of her death was announced by her colleague, actress Oluwakemisola Apesin, popularly known as Kemity, in an emotional social media post.

“Everybody is back home, we left only you IDERA Nimmyferrari, it is well,” Kemity wrote in a post mourning the actress.

Ferrari’s immediate younger sister was also reported to have confirmed her death, ending earlier uncertainty over reports circulating on social media.

The actress’ death has sent shock waves through the entertainment community, particularly because she was reportedly preparing for a housewarming ceremony at her newly completed property in Sagamu.

Instead of the planned celebration, videos circulating online showed mourners gathered at the property, with preparations reportedly being made for her burial. Several reports said she was laid to rest at the same house she had been preparing to officially open.

Ferrari was said to have been building a growing profile as an actress and social media influencer, with her sudden death leaving colleagues and fans mourning the loss of a young entertainer whose career was still developing.

Reports circulating online have linked her death to complications following an alleged surgery for fibroids. However, her family has not publicly disclosed the cause of death, and the reports about complications from the surgery have not been independently confirmed.

The circumstances surrounding her death have therefore remained unclear as tributes continue to pour in from colleagues, friends and followers.

The entertainment industry has suffered a series of losses in recent weeks, with Ferrari’s death adding to the growing sense of grief among Nollywood practitioners.
