Tinubu celebrates NSIA boss Ogunsanya

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulates Dr Segun Ogunsanya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority, NSIA, on his 60th birthday.

President Tinubu joins his family, friends, colleagues, and the Nigerian business community in celebrating a distinguished corporate leader whose career has been defined by excellence, discipline, innovation, and service.

The President commends Ogunsanya for his outstanding contributions to telecommunications, enterprise leadership, financial inclusion, and Africa’s digital transformation, noting that his work has helped expand access to mobile connectivity, digital services, and economic opportunity across the continent.

The President notes that as former Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Africa Plc, Ogunsanya led one of Africa’s most important telecommunications platforms with distinction, helping to deepen digital and financial inclusion across multiple markets.

President Tinubu also acknowledges his continuing service as Chairman of the Airtel Africa Foundation and Chairman of the Board of NSIA, where his experience, strategic insight, and commitment to long-term value creation will continue to support national development.

“Segun Ogunsanya represents the best of Nigerian professionalism. His life and career show what is possible when talent is matched with discipline, vision, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility.

“At 60, he has not only built a remarkable career, but he has also helped build platforms that connect people, businesses, communities, and opportunities across Africa.

“As he continues to serve Nigeria through his leadership of the NSIA Board, I am confident that his experience and judgement will remain valuable to our national development objectives.
