There Is A Lot Of Investment Between Nigeria & SA, So It Is Important To Take Things Slowly -Oshodi

Presidential Adviser on Foreign Affairs, Demola Oshodi, has revealed why Nigerians should not support extreme measures in response to xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

According to Oshodi, the administration of President Bola Tinubu is engaging South African authorities and international partners to prevent further escalation while ensuring the safety of Nigerians in South Africa.

He explained that Nigeria should avoid harsh or emotional reactions because both countries share strong economic, political, and historical ties.

According to him, Nigeria and South Africa are the two largest economies in Africa, with major investments and shared interests that must be protected.

He added that a careful and gradual response is necessary to avoid damaging long-standing relations between both nations.
