The Surprising Amount Of Times Jed York Contacted Prostitution Ad Before Ohio Arrest
San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York has recently found himself in hot water, as he was arrested in Ohio for allegedly planning to engage in prostitution. According to new reports, the NFL affiliate interacted with the fictitious ad a surprising amount of times before local authorities arrested him. York was initially charged with two misdemeanors before prosecutors amended them as part of a plea agreement. While the 49ers said the team wouldn’t comment on the matter, the NFL said it is currently investigating the situation.
According to ESPN, York allegedly used a pseudonym and reached out to a fictitious ad about a sex worker multiple times before being arrested.
An incident report stated that officers with the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force said York said his name was “Joe” while interacting with an officer posing as a sex worker on a “known prostitution web site.”
The 49ers owner reportedly contacted the undercover law enforcement agent twice on Saturday, August 22, with no response, before reaching out a third time on Sunday and scheduling to meet in East Palestine, Ohio.
York was arrested upon his arrival at the meeting location in Ohio. When he was arrested, York showed up with the phone he allegedly used to contact the fake sex worker and $160, which the report says was the agreed-upon fee for one hour of services.
York was initially charged with two misdemeanors, engaging in prostitution and possession of criminal tools. However, authorities amended the prostitution charge to disorderly conduct as part of a plea agreement.
Jed York Was Sentenced To Serve One Day In Jail For Each Charge
York pleaded no contest to the charges, paid over $1,100 in fines, and was sentenced to one day in jail for each charge, with credit for one day served.
The 49ers released a statement, saying it would have no comment at this time because it is a “legal matter” that “has been resolved.” The NFL, meanwhile, said the league is reviewing the incident to see if it violates its personal conduct policy.

According to a previous report from The Blast, Kansas City Chiefs player Rashee Rice opened up with the media about his 30-day jail sentence, describing the experience as “mentally tough.”
“It was a learning experience and a reality check,” Rice said. “Don’t focus on the past. Focus on what’s going on now. I’m doing [well] mentally.”
“Besides the hard times in there, I kept my mind right watching shows and as much [of comedian] Kevin Hart as I could to laugh,” he added.
Rice Was Sentenced To 30 Days In Jail After Violating Probation
3Rice was sentenced to 30 days in jail after the NFL star reportedly tested positive for THC—a direct violation of his probation, according to The Blast.
The athlete received probation after a 2024 car accident that reportedly “lost control and … traveled onto the shoulder and hit the center median wall, causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles.”
Despite the legal woes, Rice’s primary focus is on the season ahead. “I’m 100% locked in on what’s going on now with the team,” he said. “I’m ready to go out there and dominate. I’ve got a good group of brothers behind me.”
Baker Mayfield On Good Terms With His Family
3According to another report from The Blast, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield recently opened up about reconnecting with his family after previously suing them over a $12 million debt.
“In the past few months, I’ve been reconnected with my family,” he said before calling it “good.”
Mayfield previously sued his father’s company, alleging it failed to repay $12 million taken from his accounts. But over the years, Mayfield said he has since grown and decided to put the past behind him.
“Also, for them to have two grandbabies, it’s tough. What’s in the past is in the past. Emily and I took [daughter Kova] down right around her first birthday. … First time they met her, and you [could] tell it just melted them,” Mayfield said about his parents.
