“That’s why God gave everyone their wives” — Woman praises husband for defending her

A woman has sparked conversations online after recounting how her husband defended her decision to hire help for house chores following an illness.

The woman shared the experience on social media, explaining that she had recently recovered from sickness and decided to pay another woman to help wash clothes around the house because she was still weak.

According to her, the incident happened when her husband returned home with one of his friends to briefly pick up an item and met the hired helper washing clothes.

She stated that after greeting them, she quietly returned to her room while the two men remained in the sitting room discussing the situation.

“I paid a woman to come help me wash clothes after I just recovered from sickness. My husband came home with one of his friends and they met the woman washing clothes for me,” she said.

“I later heard the friend asking my husband why he would allow another person wash clothes for his wife and even said his own wife could never try that. My husband simply replied, ‘That’s why God gave everyone their wives,’” she added.

The woman further disclosed that her husband reportedly distanced himself from the friend after the encounter because of what she described as unnecessary interference in their marriage.

“My bobo sabi response well well. He no allow the man come our house again since that day. I no know wetin concern him,” she stated.
