Teenager Dies In Kano After Deadly Fight Over Food Turns Violent

A 15-year-old boy, Ahmed Sulaiman, has lost his life following a violent altercation among a group of teenagers over food in Gwangwan Village, Rogo Local Government Area of Kano State.

The incident was brought to public attention through a post shared on social media by security analyst Zagazola Makama on Wednesday.

According to the report, the tragic incident occurred on June 1 at around 9:00 p.m., after a disagreement broke out among teenagers in the community.

Police sources identified those involved as Ahmed Sulaiman, aged 15, and three other teenagers Abdulaziz Garzali, 13, Amiru Sani, 15, and Habu Mani, 14.

What began as a dispute over food quickly turned violent. During the confrontation, Abdulaziz allegedly obtained a knife from Habu and used it to stab Ahmed, inflicting serious injuries.

The victim was immediately rushed to Rogo General Hospital for medical attention but was sadly pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.

The village head of Gwangwan, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur, is said to have reported the incident to the relevant security authorities. Police sources confirmed that the suspects have been identified and are currently cooperating with investigators to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Kano State Police Command confirmed that a comprehensive investigation is underway and assured the public that appropriate legal action would be taken upon the conclusion of the probe.
