Stunning looks from ‘Star Lomo’ movie premiere

The red carpet at the premiere of Star Lomo was anything but predictable. From stunning red carpet loos to breath taking designs, the premiere of Kamo State’s debut cinema film brought together a colourful mix of traditional fabrics, sequins, patchwork, dramatic silhouettes and statement accessories.

The dress code of the event was “African Music Icon” and here are some of the looks that caught our attention.

Iyabo Ojo

Iyabo Ojo attended the premiere in a bold forest-green column gown broken up by colourful geometric panels in blue, crimson, yellow and cream. She paired the unique dress with red sunglasses and gold jewelry.

Efe Irele

Efe Irele served a retro glamour look, turning heads in a silver sequined tunic dress with mirrored disc detailing, paired with deep maroon tights. She paired the look with a choker and crystal-bow heels to add another layer of sparkle to the look.

Timini Egbuson

Timini Egbuson also took a bold and eclectic approach, combining an earthy patchwork jacket with a teal tie, wide-leg ivory trousers and a cream fedora. The mix of colours, textures and relaxed tailoring gave his interpretation of the theme a distinctly individual feel.

Kamo State

The man of the night also made an unforgettable statement appearing in a custom graphic jacket featuring images of late Nigerian entertainment icons, including Onyeka Onwenu, Ayinla Omowura, Mohbad and Fela Kuti. His innovative outfit served as a tribute to some of the figures who shaped Nigerian popular culture.

Other notable stars like KieKie, Lateef Adedimeji, Peller and so many others were also present at the premiere.

Although filmmaker Funke Akindele, who is also a close friend to Kamo State was noticeably absent from the event, the actor explained that she could not make it because she was not in the country as at the time of the premiere.
