Speeding Trotro Overturns At Abrepo Junction In Kumasi, Passengers Get Rescued By Bystanders
A commercial minibus, popularly known as a “trotro,” overturned at Abrepo Junction in Kumasi after reportedly being driven at high speed, leaving passengers scrambling to safety with some sustaining injuries in the process.
According to background checks conducted by our reporters, the accident is believed to have been caused by the driver’s excessive speed, which ultimately led to the vehicle losing control and flipping over along the busy junction.
The incident happened swiftly, catching both passengers and nearby onlookers off guard.
In the aftermath, video footage captured the dramatic scene as passengers struggled to free themselves from the overturned vehicle, with several bystanders rushing in to assist.
The clip shows people being helped out through the vehicle’s windows and doors as others gathered around to offer support and lend a hand.
While the exact number of injured passengers has not been officially confirmed, reports suggest that some sustained injuries during the accident, though the severity remains unclear at this time.
It is also not yet known whether any of the injured have been taken to hospital for treatment.
