A young Nigerian military officer has sparked reactions online after opening up about the challenges soldiers are currently facing, admitting that he has considered leaving the profession altogether.

In a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the soldier expressed frustration over the hardship he and many of his colleagues are allegedly enduring, saying the situation has become unbearable. “The way I am seeing it, na to run comot for this job go back to my village na him remain. Maybe go learn tailoring, plumbing or mechanic.”
