Nigerian singer, Crayon, has offered insights into his early days in the music industry, sharing details of his encounter with Tiwa Savage in 20818.
The singer, who recently called out his former record label, Mavin Records, via a series of deleted tweets, opened up about his admiration for Tiwa Savage.

Crayon Speaks On Encounter With Tiwa Savage In 2018
According to the singer, who disclosed this during a livestream with Carter Efe, he had a crush on Tiwa Savage, revealing she introduced him to ‘Backy,’ a blend of illicit drugs.
”She was my crush in 2018. She gave me my first backy and she asked, ‘Do I smoke?’”, The singer said, while recounting his encounter with Tiwa Savage.
During the livestream, Crayon admitted that this encounter led to a lasting smoking habit.
Notably, Crayon gained widespread recognition with his 2019 single ‘Aiye’, a catchy Afrobeats track that showcased his unique style.
The song’s success led to collaborations with top artists and solidified his position in the Nigerian music industry.
It would be recalled that the singer joined Mavin Records in 2017 and recently announced his departure, revealing he’s now an independent artist under Olodum Entertainment.
This followed a public feud with Mavin Records, in which Crayon accused the label of withholding payments and royalties.
