SAD! Yesterday Morning, Around 5:00 a.m, Herdsmen Came And Killed 8 People, We Couldn’t Fight Them-Simeon

Ikulono Simeon, Youth Leader of Otukpo Local Government Area in Benue State, has disclosed that at least eight people were killed when suspected Fulani herdsmen attacked his community in the early hours of the morning. He said residents were unable to defend themselves as the attackers stormed the area.

Speaking during an interview on AIT News, on Wednesday, 15 July, 2026, while recounting the incident, Simeon described the attack as sudden and devastating, saying the community was caught unprepared when the gunmen invaded at daybreak.
