Ruger Returns To Music After Ex-Girlfriend Sued Him For Emotional Distress
Nigerian singer Ruger is set for a return to the music scene after dealing with a legal dispute involving his ex-girlfriend who allegedly sued him for emotional distress and damages.
In a statement released on Wednesday, his management company, Blown Boy Entertainment, explained that the artiste’s absence from music was linked to personal issues stemming from the lawsuit.
The management assured fans, popularly known as the “RU Nation,” that the difficult period is now over and Ruger is ready to focus fully on his career once again.
According to the statement, the singer has spent his time working on new music and is eager to share fresh projects with his supporters.
“We know it’s been a while since Ruger dropped new music. For some time, Ruger was caught up in a series of personal challenges after someone he dated decided to sue him for alleged ‘emotional distress’ and ‘damages,” the statement reads.
“That chapter is now behind him. A new chapter begins. A new energy emerges.
“Ruger is back to doing what he loves most – making music. And best believe, he has been cooking.”
Blown Boy Entertainment expressed appreciation to fans who remained supportive during his break from the spotlight, saying their patience and loyalty played a significant role throughout the period.
“We would like to sincerely thank everyone who remained patient and continued to support Ruger throughout the silence. Your loyalty and belief have meant everything,” it added.
“This summer, you can catch Ruger performing in Belgium, Màlaga, Bali, Malawi and United States. August belongs to us. Stay tuned, enjoy your summer and get ready for what’s next.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Ruger recently revealed that seeing many people tying the knot lately made him rethink his lifestyle and consider settling down.
