Rosie O’Donnell’s Brutal 2006 Takedown Of Trump On ‘The View’ Resurfaces
A resurfaced video of Rosie O’Donnell brutally slamming Donald Trump for his morality during a past appearance on “The View” is making the rounds online.
Both figures have been at loggerheads over the years, with the comedian recently performing a satirical song urging him to resign during her guest-hosting stint on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
Trump and his White House issued a statement calling O’Donnell a “nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
Amid their ongoing public exchange, a resurfaced clip of Rosie O’Donnell calling out Donald Trump during a 2006 episode of “The View” has re-emerged on social media.
In the viral video, the former show host aimed at the President, who was then best known as a real estate mogul and host of NBC’s “The Apprentice.”
She slammed him for his morality and brought up his cheating scandal while discussing his hesitance at the time to grant Miss USA Tara Conner a second chance following a public scandal.
Poking fun at his hair while mimicking the way he talked, O’Donnell openly questioned his moral authority to do so as she brought up his marriages, claiming he had an affair in both of them and even had kids.
“(He) left the first wife – had an affair. (He) had kids both times, but he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America. Donald, sit and spin, my friend,” she fired.
Trump Fires Back At O’Donnell After Her Brutal Attack
She didn’t stop there, as she famously poked fun at his business acumen, saying he’d inherited a lot of money but had ended up “bankrupt so many times.”
O’Donnell also compared him to “one of those snake oil salesmen,” likening him to a character who was “full of crap.”
The original broadcast sparked what has now become a decades-long public feud between the two of them. At the time, Trump hit back at her, saying she was “a woman out of control” while adding that he planned to sue her for the statements questioning his financial standing.
“You can’t make false statements,” he said at the time, per PEOPLE. “Rosie will rue the words she said. I’ll most likely sue her for making those false statements – and it’ll be fun. Rosie’s a loser. A real loser. I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.”
O’Donnell Takes Fresh Aim At Trump On Late-Night TV
4It follows her recent guest-hosting appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where she took several jabs at Trump and urged him to resign as president.
She began her multi-day hosting gig with a cheeky monologue, warning that if viewers thought the president “hated” Kimmel, then they should prepare for hers.
O’Donnell continued, “I’ve been living in Ireland for the past two years because of ‘Mango Mussolini.’ I read that Project 2025 and said, ‘Gotta get myself out of here!’ and I decided to go to Ireland where people are driven to drink regardless of who’s running their country.”
4According to The New York Times, she finished off the gig last week by thanking “everyone who’s been watching this week, especially the hungry, hungry hypocrite in the White House.”
She performed a satirical version of the Irish tune “Danny Boy,” renaming it “Donny Boy” in reference to Trump.
“Poor Donny boy, your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew. Your wig’s a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you’ve bit off more than you can chew,” O’Donnell sang.
She continued, “Measles are back, inflation is a-swelling; you post all night, you’re sleeping while you work. And what’s with all this useless crap you’re selling? Hey, sweetie pie, you’re driving us all berserk. But there’s a way to end this drama. It’s time to use that stable-genius brain. Since we all know you’ll never be Obama, why not resign and make this country great again?”
White House Calls Rosie O’Donnell A “Slob”
4As has been the case over the years, Trump didn’t hesitate to hit back at her, as White House spokesperson Davis Ingle gave a statement deriding her as a “slob.”
“Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome,” Ingle said, per Entertainment Weekly.
In a previous AI-generated video shared on his social media page, the billionaire politician also slammed O’Donnell and several other critics of his as people suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
The video depicted an AI-generated version of Trump as a doctor treating AI versions of O’Donnell, John Leguizamo, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, and Edward Norton for the condition.
