Prince Harry reportedly left emotional messages for his estranged brother, Prince William, amid his very public desire for them to find common ground and mend broken ties.
The Duke of Sussex is said to be tired of living like William doesn’t exist and has been dropping subtle hints that he’s ready to settle among their remaining mutual friends.
Reports also suggest Prince Harry is trying to regain William’s favor, aiming to secure his own standing before the Prince of Wales eventually ascends the throne.
Following his quiet reunion with his father, King Charles, Prince Harry reportedly made heartfelt attempts to reach out to his estranged brother, Prince William, as he looks to offer an olive branch.
The brothers have reportedly not been on speaking terms, and their relationship is literally non-existent, mainly because of Harry’s decision to abandon his royal roles and relocate abroad with his wife Meghan, as well as the damaging allegations he made against the Prince of Wales in his memoir “Spare.”
Sources claim Harry has now come to the realization that life without his brother is “painful” and is now hoping they can finally end their rift.
“Harry has been throwing out these little hints here and there to make sure it’s known that he’s not carrying any sort of grudge towards his brother anymore, but he’s doing a heck of a lot more than that behind the scenes,” an insider said, per Closer Magazine.
They continued, “He accepts that they have very different views on a lot of things, but he’s sure that if they can simply agree to disagree, they will actually find they have a lot more common ground than they realize. He’s tired of living like his brother doesn’t exist; it’s simply too painful.”

“He’s asked his father and various aides to let William know that he’s ready to sit down to talk anytime he chooses. If he had any chance of reaching William, he’d just call him up directly, but he’d never get through, so he has to resort to this roundabout way,” the source explained.
They continued, “He’s even told the few mutual friends they still have that he misses his brother; Harry clearly wants that to get back to William.”

The insider who spoke to Closer noted that the fact that Harry wants to settle doesn’t mean that William is ready, and any hopes of a face-to-face meeting between them seem further down the line.
“He still feels so violated by everything that’s gone on, it’s hard to imagine him agreeing to even be in the same room as Harry right now,” they said.

William is understood to favor a streamlined monarchy as part of his bid to give the royal family a new look.
What this means is that Harry and Meghan’s title may just be on the chopping block someday, and the Duke is aware of this threat. Hence, another reason he’s looking to end their feud.
“As much as this is about him wanting to mend things from an emotional standpoint, there’s no way to ignore the fact that getting back into William’s good graces is important from a business perspective too,” the source said.

The belief is that if William becomes king without reconciling with the Sussexes, their royal standing would be in jeopardy, as the Prince of Wales is not as forgiving as King Charles.
Regarding this, the Closer insider went further to state that if the strain persists until William becomes king, it will “have very real consequences” on Harry’s title, which will “inevitably affect his and Meghan’s bottom line.”
“So the time to make this happen is now, before William is totally in charge, and while Charles is still around to help broker some sort of peace deal,” they added.
