“Presidential Election: It Is Most Likely That Peter Obi May Not Contest 2027 Election” – APC Chieftain Afegbua Drops Shocking Prediction, Cites This
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kassim Afegbua, has predicted that former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, may not participate in the 2027 presidential election, citing what he described as growing internal challenges within the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Afegbua made the remark during an interview on SYMFONI while discussing the political landscape ahead of the next general election and the chances of opposition figures seeking to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, political parties hoping to compete effectively in a presidential election must possess nationwide structures capable of mobilizing voters across all states and local government areas.
Speaking on Obi’s future political plans, Afegbua said, “It is most likely that Peter Obi may not contest 2027 election.”
He argued that ongoing disputes surrounding the ADC could affect the former Anambra governor’s political calculations ahead of the next electoral cycle. GET FULL STORY HERE.
