Police hunt Ogun man over alleged sexual molestation of 17-year-old boy

The Police have begun manhunt for one Kola who allegedly serially molested a 17-year-old boy in Adigbe area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
Ogun Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, ordered immediate manhunt for the alleged culprit following report of the incident at Adigbe Police Division on 8 September 2026.
The teenage boy (name withheld) who was accompanied by his parents had in the report to the police, alleged that the said Mr. Kola sexually assaulted him on three occasions in January 2026.
He also claimed that the suspect threatened him into silence.
Ogun Police Command spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi in a statement on Thursday said following the report, the boy was taken to a hospital within Adigbe axis for medical examination, while detectives commenced investigation.
The Command stressed that the matter came to its attention upon the report made on 8 September 2026, while the said Kola is presently at large.
However, Babaseyi said CP Bode Ojajuni has directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and arrest him on sight.
The Ogun Police Command also assured the public that the allegation is receiving urgent, professional and sensitive investigation, while reiterating its commitment to protecting children and vulnerable persons.
