Peter, however, noted that he is the only Nigerian artist who does what he does at his age. He added those demanding his retirement are “heartbroken fans” of the defunct P-Square group.

”Make una help me name any artiste wey dey sing, dance, perform at the highest level, still plays multiple musical instruments, and still get music certificate. Only Peter Okoye. Na why I always say: put some respect on the name Peter Okoye aka Mr P. One thing for sure, most of these people na PSQUARE heartbroken fans, and honestly, I understand their feelings. Them go dey alright las las. Nothing lasts forever. Change is constant. Respect our decision and move on. As for this solo journey? It’s one of the best thing that has ever happened in my life , and I honestly don’t care what anyone thinks,” he stated.

Mr P also revealed that he has more projects underway, disclosing that he just signed a 5-year-deal with international distribution company

“I recently signed a multi-million-dollar 5-year deal with an international distribution company covering 3 albums. Nobody can stop this movement. The train has left the station. So it’s time to let go and move on. It’s Mr P Forever!”, he added.
