Patrick Clancy and new wife reveal they’re starting a family after his first three children were slain by his ex Lindsay Clancy

Patrick Clancy and his new wife revealed they are starting a family and cannot wait to tell their future kids about the former’s first three children before they were tragically slain by his ex, Lindsay Clancy.

Rachel Danis, an infertility specialist who married Patrick Clancy earlier this year, made the announcement as she sat beside him for an interview with “60 Minutes” , his first since his former wife’s high-profile murder trial ended with a hung jury earlier this month.

“And you guys are starting a family,” journalist Ross Douthat asked the couple, and Danis confirmed. Patrick Clancy said he was excited to share memories of his first children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan — with his future ones.
“I think every parent can agree, you have different relationships with your kids, but they’re all your kids. And I can’t wait to tell them about their brothers and sister,” he said during the interview.

Danis and Patrick Clancy tied the knot in April at an intimate ceremony at the Ladies Pavilion in New York City’s Central Park, where Danis revealed the couple first met.

“I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday,” she said, shrugging off the criticisms they’ve received for their marriage from online trolls and unhinged influencers. “I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that,” she added.

Patrick Clancy moved to Manhattan after he found his three young children had been strangled by his ex-wife in their Duxbury, Massachusetts home in January 2023.

He said staying in the small town was too difficult to bear.“Everything just came to a screeching halt,” Patrick Clancy said on “60 Minutes”. “And then there was a day where I– really without thinking, I drove by their school. And it was at the exact time that all of their friends were getting dropped off. And I was just– I couldn’t be there anymore.”

So he escaped to Manhattan, where he could grieve anonymously.He later joined a run club and, in January 2024, he met fellow member Danis, 37, who works as a reproductive endocrinologist and infertility specialist at a New York City-based reproductive clinic, and the two soon fell in love.

Heartwarming photos uploaded to social media chronicle the couple’s love story, including pictures of them attending the same Barry’s workout class and beaming ear-to-ear while posing together at the NYC Marathon in November 2025.

Patrick Clancy, who admitted he once had suicidal thoughts after his children’s deaths, said Danis has helped him work through his grief.

“My life has changed since I met Rachel in such a positive way,” he told Douthat. Meanwhile, his ex-wife remains at Tewksbury State Hospital in Massachusetts after her triple murder case ended in a mistrial when one of the 12 jurors refused to acquit her by reason of insanity due to crippling postpartum psychosis.
