Oyo Attack: I’m Not Going To Retract My Words, if Anybody’s Not Happy, Take Any Action You Want–Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his stance on comments he made regarding the recent kidnapping of teachers and students in Oyo State, insisting that he will not retract or revise his position despite public criticism.

Speaking in a video shared by Channels TV during an inspection of projects marking the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Wike addressed backlash that followed his remarks to protesting teachers who were reacting to the abduction incident.

He explained that his main concern was the tendency for insecurity issues to be politicised, stressing that national security challenges should not be turned into political arguments or used for partisan gain.
