Our Pastor Told My Father To Resign From Work, Since Then He Can’t Cater For The Home Again -Greatness

According to a recent video by With Chude, a Nigerian lady, Greatness Oluwafemi has revealed the severe family breakdown that followed after her pastor-father obeyed his general overseer’s directive to resign from his banking career.

Speaking in a candid interview, she described her father as a “fantastic” provider and chartered accountant until she was 13. His abrupt resignation from a lucrative banking job, following clerical advice, plunged the family into a financial crisis.

“Suddenly he can’t cater for his home again,” she stated. The financial strain directly impacted her education, forcing her into a substandard school where she lacked a physics teacher and repeatedly failed exams.

This, coupled with witnessing her father’s verbal abuse towards her mother, created a toxic environment. The culmination was a devastating moment when her father told her mother, “You have no glory. It is my glory you are using to shine.” The respondent, overwhelmed by rejection and bitterness, left home as a suicidal teenager.

She noted the profound irony: her father was a “perfect” pastor who had sacrificed everything for ministry, yet created a home filled with pain.

Because he wanted me in a boarding house, he took me to a school outside of Lagos. It was a school where we didn’t have a physics teacher, among other shortcomings. Since I was a bookworm, they assumed I would be fine.

Unfortunately, I kept getting a D7 in physics repeatedly, and I ended up writing the O level exam seven times. That failure was the source of that later conversation. Here was a man who was a chartered accountant at different banks, who had sent me to an international school and sponsored others’ education. Suddenly, he could no longer cater for his home, and his daughter, the intelligent one everyone was so proud of, was failing an exam over and over again…....
