Osimhen Speculation Ramps Up As Transfer Window Enters Its Final Days

Every summer, Victor Osimhen appears to be a target for many of Europe’s top clubs. The Galatasaray forward, who has scored 63 goals in 76 outings for the Turkish Süper Lig outfit, is still regarded as one of the leading central strikers on the planet. These strikers are in demand because there aren’t many of them available, and this continues to see Osimhen appear on the shopping list of leading teams.

As things stand, clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have all been linked with a move in recent weeks, proving just how in demand the Nigerian is. All these clubs are expected to challenge for honours this term according to the latest sports betting odds, and having Osimhen in your ranks, and his goals, are going to help hugely on that front.

Galatasaray Remain In Control

As things stand, Galatasaray are in total control of the situation. They had loaned Osimhen from Napoli for the 2024/25 season before making the move permanent in July 2025, with the Serie A title winner penning a deal until 2029. Crucially, when Osimhen signed for the Turkish giants, there was no release clause inserted into his contract. Ultimately, this means Galatasaray can determine what happens next, that is unless the player himself looks to force a move.

And why would Galatasaray want to let Osimhen go? He’s not only fired them to title success twice already, but he’s started the new season in great form. After two games played, he’s registered four goals and an assist. Galatasaray’s best chance of success this term is to have Osimhen leading the line.

Will Clubs Test The Water?

The reality is that with the transfer window closing for most clubs in a matter of days, those requiring goals will likely test the water to see if doing a deal for Osimhen is possible before time runs out. It’s clear that several Premier League outfits still want an elite central striker, and they have the financial capabilities to sign one, but it’s whether or not there’s time in the last few days to put a deal together that works for all parties.

It’s not just Premier League clubs thought to be taking an interest in the 27-year-old. As well as Barcelona, who have lost Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres this summer, Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal, who are renowned big spenders, are also thought to be watching closely. However, it remains to be seen if Osimhen would be open to swapping Turkey for Saudi Arabia, as it would not represent a step up on the sporting front.

Final Thoughts

Victor Osimhen is linked with big moves every transfer window. It’s par for the course when you’re one of the top central strikers in world football with a goalscoring record to match. And while this summer it seems there are more clubs circling than there have been in the last few years, it does feel like it would be a race against time to get a deal agreed. It’s not impossible, but any deal would have to be agreeable to Galatasaray, who will certainly ask for €75 million or more. Negotiating an acceptable deal will be a task in itself, and getting it over the line an even bigger challenge.
