Omotunde Ogundimu hails Funke Akindele for massive cancer fund support

Veteran actress Omotunde Ogundimu has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Nollywood filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele, revealing that she provided financial support for her cervical cancer treatment.

The actress, in an emotional post on her Instagram page, explained that she was moved to tears after receiving a surprise call and financial assistance from the filmmaker.

Omotunde also praised Funke Akindele, describing the gesture as deeply touching and appreciated. She explained that the unexpected intervention meant a lot to her as she continues to navigate her cancer treatment.

“The first call I got this morning was from Funke. I was really surprised cos I wasn’t expecting it. Chaii! God is just too good to me. Pls help me pray for Funke Akindele for blessing me this morning towards my cancer treatment; she gave me a huge amount of money ni. Iya Ibeji, God will never forsake you, Laila. You will forever continue to grow from strength to strength,” she stated.

The actress had in a previous interview, opened up about her medical condition, lamenting that she was finding it difficult to keep up with treatment bills.
