Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde drags Nollywood over unpaid royalties

Nollywood veteran Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has spoken up regarding her experiences working in Hollywood and Nollywood industries.

The actress revealed that despite spending just five years in the Hollywood industry, she regularly receives payments from her past work in the form of residuals and royalties.

Omotola however, noted that her three decades in Nollywood have yielded no such payments. She pointed out the differences in each industry, speaking up regarding the disparity in how actors are compensated for their work.

“I’ve only worked in Hollywood for five years, yet I constantly receive envelopes containing my residuals and royalties. I’ve worked in Nollywood for 30 years and have never received a single envelope. Maybe they don’t know where I live,” she stated.
