NYSC announces date for 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course in Osun

The NYSC Osun State Secretariat announced that the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Stream I Orientation Course will hold from Wednesday, 30th September, 2026 to Tuesday, 20th October, 2026 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede, Osun State.

The exercise is in line with a circular issued by the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters, Abuja. Registration for prospective Corps Members will commence on Wednesday, 30th September, 2026 and close at midnight on Friday, 23rd October, 2026.

The Swearing-in and Official Opening Ceremony is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 2nd October, 2026, at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Ede.

The ceremony will be presided over by the Governor of Osun State, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ademola Adeleke.

The National Pledge and NYSC Oath of Allegiance will be administered by the Chief Judge of Osun State, His Lordship, Honourable Justice Oyebola Adepele-Ojo.

The NYSC Osun State Coordinator, Mr Ekeng Ita Kubiangha, welcomed all prospective Corps Members to the state and urged them to report promptly, conduct themselves responsibly and comply fully with NYSC rules and regulations throughout the Orientation Course.

He said the NYSC, in collaboration with the Osun State Government, security agencies and other stakeholders, had made necessary arrangements to ensure a safe, orderly and rewarding Orientation experience.

The orientation course, according to the release, will feature Military drills, physical training, lectures, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development.

Others include social and cultural activities, inter-platoon competitions and community development sensitisation.

The programmes are designed to promote discipline, patriotism, leadership development, teamwork and national integration.

Corps Members are also expected to come with their cultural or traditional attire for participation in the cultural carnival.
